My journey began in a small town in Saskatchewan, where a passion for numbers and a drive to build a stable life for my family led me to earn a dual diploma in Bookkeeping and Computerized Bookkeeping. Entering the field as computerized accounting was emerging gave me a unique, foundational understanding of how technology and finance interact, setting the stage for my career.

In 1992, I moved to British Columbia, bringing that commitment to clarity and organization with me. Over the following decades, I built a diverse career—including 20 years in dental administration and five years in real estate—which provided me with a deep, practical understanding of business operations and the importance of work-life balance.

Never one to stop learning, I returned to college in 2023 to earn an updated Bookkeeping Certificate from Langara College and became a QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. With these fresh credentials and over 35 years of multifaceted experience, I launched JC Bookkeeping to support businesses in industries ranging from manufacturing and design to real estate and healthcare.
